3 Coffee Shops In LA You Should Try Right Now☕

I figured it was time for a coffee post since my blog was in fact inspired by my love for coffee! Hence the name “Sip With Ebony.” One of my favorite “hobbies” is going out in Los Angeles and trying new coffee shops. My friends and I would joke about creating a blog solely focused on going to different coffee shops and rating the coffee. The obsession is REAL.

“Coffee culture” is one of the many reasons why I love LA. There’s tons of coffee shops and they’re always packed with customers working, chatting, hanging out and grabbing a cup of matcha or coffee. I’ve tried several coffee shops over the years and wanted to share some you might like. For context, I usually order an iced vanilla latte and I like coffee that is strong and sweet!

1. Laveta
Located in the Echo Park neighborhood of LA, this coffee shop is at the top of my list. The interior is plain and modern, but the coffee is bold and delicious. Laveta is also one of the few coffee shops that has a full food menu (although I can’t speak on the food because I haven’t eaten here.) They are also known for their matcha!

2. Memorylook
You can find Memorylook in Koreatown and if you’re lucky there won’t be a super long line. Despite the line, they have lots of different coffees and are known for their “cloud coffees” which contain a rich layer of foam. In my opinion, the “thickness” of their coffees is what makes them so good. They also have a variety of flavors which is fun. The coffees are a good balance but if you like extra sweet like myself, you can ask for extra sweetener.

3. Cafe Fig
This recommendation is a little bit of a wild card because it’s located inside of a hotel. But man, the coffee is absolutely delicious. I’m a huge fan of their cappuccinos! Not to mention the decor is beautiful inside. You can go there to grab a coffee and hangout in the lounge area, or dine in at the full service restaurant. Either way you can’t go wrong!

What’s your favorite coffee shop in Los Angeles?
